TradersConnect Alternative: An Honest Comparison

For your own MetaTrader demo, evaluation and funded accounts: flat Plans with journal, alerts and live P&L per repeater included. How the totals really compare once analytics is counted — and where TradersConnect's ten platforms win.

Trepeat is a trade copier built around one trader repeating their own trades across their own accounts. You place an order on a source account and a repeater mirrors it to the follower accounts you have linked to it, with the sizing, symbol and pause rules held against that relationship rather than scattered through a settings screen.

One scope check before anything else, because it decides whether the rest of this page is relevant to you: Trepeat connects MetaTrader demo-server accounts only. It refuses live real-money accounts at connection. Prop firm evaluation and funded accounts that run on demo servers are supported, and that is the setup most readers arrive here with. If you intend to copy on a live real-money account, TradersConnect is the one of these two that serves that case.

Trepeat has no affiliation with TradersConnect. The competitor figures and platform list below come from its published pages as recorded on 19 September 2026. Prices in this category move: check TradersConnect's current pricing and documentation and Trepeat's Plans yourself before deciding.

What Trepeat gives you for the monthly price

These are concrete Trepeat behaviours you can check against your own setup — not claims about what TradersConnect does or does not do, which you should read in its documentation:

  • Live P&L for each repeater and account — open positions are valued as prices update, so you can inspect what a repeater currently holds rather than reading closed-trade history and inferring the rest.
  • Journal, alerts and trade history in the same subscription — the record of your trades and the information you need to investigate the copying sit in the same product as the repeater configuration, not in a separate tool.
  • Manual positions stay separate — Trepeat identifies the positions it opened and closes only those. A position you opened by hand on a follower account is left alone.
  • A connection problem is contained to one follower — an unhealthy follower is paused automatically while the rest of the repeater carries on, and it resumes when its connection recovers.
  • Disconnected accounts with open trades raise an alert — if an account loses its connected status while trades are still open, that condition is surfaced rather than left for you to notice. The alert clears when the account reconnects or the last trade closes.
  • Close origins are recorded — history distinguishes a mirrored close, a manual close in the broker terminal, and a close through Trepeat's Flatten button, so you have a record to consult when tracing what happened.

A repeater also carries its own Symbol allowlist and Symbol remapping. If your accounts sit at different brokers that spell the same instrument differently, or run at different sizes, those become explicit setup decisions rather than surprises after a copy. The guide to running multiple evaluations at once goes through that account-organisation problem in more detail.

What the monthly bill looks like

TradersConnect Standard is billed per connected account at $10 each per month, added or removed as needed. Trepeat charges a flat monthly Plan covering a set number of accounts. Compare the copier alone and TradersConnect is the cheaper of the two at every count we sell: $20 against $29 at two accounts, $50 against $79 at five, $100 against $159 at ten.

That is not the like-for-like number, though, and it is worth doing the arithmetic properly before it decides anything. On TradersConnect the copier is the copier: its trade analytics is a separate subscription, priced per workspace rather than per account. Trepeat includes journal, alerts and trade history in the Plan. Set the two side by side on that basis and the gap closes, then reverses:

  • 2 accounts — TradersConnect $20 for copying, about $50 with its analytics added. Trepeat $29, analytics-equivalent included. Trepeat is the cheaper option here.
  • 5 accounts — TradersConnect $50, about $80 with analytics. Trepeat $79. Effectively level.
  • 10 accounts — TradersConnect $100, about $130 with analytics. Trepeat $159. TradersConnect is cheaper at this count.

So the honest answer to “which is cheaper” is: it depends on how many accounts you run and whether you want the record-keeping alongside the copying. Plenty of people want copying alone, and for them the per-account price is the one that matters. Check both current pricing pages and work it out for your own account count rather than taking either figure here on trust.

What the flat Plan buys instead is a bill that does not move with your account count inside its included capacity. Going from four connected accounts to five leaves Trepeat's five-account Plan at $79; on a per-account model the same change moves the bill. That is a predictability argument, not a cheaper-in-total one, and it is worth what it is worth to you. Capacity is not unlimited either — beyond a Plan's included accounts there are extra slot charges or a Plan change, so check the current limits on the pricing page.

Platform coverage

TradersConnect's home page names ten platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, Match Trader, TradeLocker, DXtrade, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, ProjectX and Rithmic. Trepeat connects MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. If your accounts live on a platform outside MetaTrader today — futures venues, DXtrade — Trepeat cannot connect them and TradersConnect is the broader tool on that axis.

cTrader support is in development, with further platforms planned after it. We are not putting a date on either, and nothing here is a reason to choose Trepeat before it ships — judge it on what it connects today. It does mean MetaTrader-only is the current position rather than the settled one.

A platform list alone does not settle a connection, though. Check its documentation for your exact pairing of source platform, follower platform and broker before subscribing on either side.

Details a comparison page cannot settle

For TradersConnect's sizing options, symbol handling, broker compatibility and account eligibility, read its own documentation. This page does not establish whether a particular account can connect there.

On Trepeat, confirm every account is on a supported MetaTrader demo server. An account described as funded still needs that check — the label alone does not establish the server type.

For an evaluation or funded account, read the programme's own rules on external tools and on copying between your accounts; for a personal account, read your broker's terms. Trepeat does not interpret or enforce those rules. The guide to prop firm rules on copy trading covers the clauses to look for before you connect anything.

Which belongs on your shortlist?

  • You run your own MetaTrader demo, evaluation or funded accounts — Trepeat is built for exactly this. A flat Plan, journal and alerts in the same subscription, live P&L by repeater, and manual positions left alone.
  • You need a platform outside MetaTrader — TradersConnect, after confirming your pairing in its documentation.
  • You need live real-money accounts — not Trepeat. Check eligibility directly with whichever alternative you consider.
  • The monthly price is the deciding factor — TradersConnect Standard is lower at two, five and ten accounts. Confirm against its current pricing.

If you are in the first group, the question worth asking is not which tool is cheaper by a few dollars a month, but which one you would rather be inside when a follower disconnects mid-trade, or when you need to work out why one account closed a position and another did not. That is the work Trepeat is designed around, and it is the part you will touch every day.
