Lot Converter
One lot is not the same size at every broker. Enter the lot and each broker's contract size to get the lot that matches it at the other broker.
Convert a lot
Matching lot at broker B
5.00lots
Same exposure: 5,000 units either way.
Rounded to the nearest 0.01 lot. A broker may step in larger lots, such as 1.0 on some index CFDs; check the symbol's volume step before you place the trade.
Where to find the contract size
- MT4 and MT5: in Market Watch, right-click the symbol, then Specification. The figure is the contract size.
- cTrader: open the symbol's information. The figure is the lot size.
Trepeat does this on every copy. When both brokers report a contract size and the two differ, the copy is sized to the same exposure.

Lot converter — common questions
How do I convert lots between brokers?
Multiply the lot by broker A's contract size, then divide by broker B's. 1.00 lot of silver at 5,000 ounces is 5.00 lots at a broker that counts 1,000 ounces per lot.
Why is one lot a different size at two brokers?
A lot is a number of units of the instrument, and each broker sets that number for its own symbols. One lot of silver is 1,000 ounces at some brokers and 5,000 at others, so 1.00 lot at each is a different position.
Does Trepeat convert lots when it copies?
Yes. When both brokers report a contract size and the two differ, each copy is multiplied by the source's contract size divided by the follower's, then rounded to the follower symbol's volume step. When either size is unknown, no conversion is applied rather than a guessed one.

When two brokers count a lot differently, Trepeat sizes each copy to the follower's contract size.
