How Many Prop Firm Accounts Can You Have?
Most firms in our directory limit the total capital you can hold, not the number of accounts. The limits, what counts toward them, and where copying fits.

There is usually no fixed number of accounts: most firms cap the total capital across your accounts, not their count. Of the 25 firms in our prop-firm rules directory, 21 set a limit across your accounts. 14 state it as one total amount, from $200,000 to $3,900,000, most often $400,000 (7 firms); the other 7 set it per programme, per account size or by count. At those firms, accounts usually fit as long as their sizes add up to no more than the total, and some also cap how many you hold.
What the firms' own pages say
| How the limit is set | Firms |
|---|---|
| One total amount across your accounts | 14 |
| Per programme, per account size, by count or at the firm's discretion | 7 |
| The pages we read say nothing about a limit | 4 |
From each firm's own published pages, read on 16 Oct 2026. Firms change these rules, so open the firm's page in the directory, follow its source link and confirm before you buy another account.
What usually counts toward the limit
- Funded accounts, or every account. About half of the totals are worded as funded or qualified accounts; others count every account, challenges included. Whether evaluations count differs from firm to firm, which is why the directory quotes each one.
- You, not your login. Some firms count per person or per household, so a second login does not add room.
- Each programme on its own. A firm that runs several programmes may set a separate limit for each, or allow one account of each size.
Running several accounts as one
Once you hold more than one account, a trade copier places the trade you take on one account on the others, each at its own size. Two things decide whether that fits your firm: whether its rules allow copying between your own accounts (see prop-firm rules on copy trading), and whether every account stays within its own limits. Copying multiplies your size, and every loss lands on each account at once, so each account's daily loss limit applies to its own copy of the trade.
In Trepeat, a repeater works out each follower account's lot separately: with Multiplier, every follower in the repeater takes the same multiple of the source lot; with Equity ratio, each follower's size follows its own equity against the source's. A Max Volume cap limits each order. To give two followers different multiples, put them in separate repeaters. How the sizes work out across accounts of different balances is in position sizing when copying trades, and running several evaluations side by side in running multiple prop firm evaluations. Trepeat currently connects demo accounts only, which includes evaluation and funded accounts on a MetaTrader demo server or a cTrader demo account.
Check the firm's rules first
The app neither reads nor enforces your firm's rules; staying within your firm's limits is yours to check. The prop-firm rules directory quotes each firm's own words on copying, servers and limits across accounts, with the link and the day we read them. Whether copying your own trades is allowed at all is covered in is copying your own trades allowed?.
