How do I copy trades from one MT5 account to another?

Connect the two MT5 accounts, set the one you trade as the source account and the second as a follower account, and press Run on the repeater.

  • Same terminal, maybe two modes. One MT5 account can be hedging while the other nets, and the terminal looks identical on both.

  • Tell the mode in one trade. Two tickets after a second trade on a symbol means hedging; one larger ticket means netting.

  • USTEC or US100, XAUUSD or GOLD.Remapped once per repeater, or for one named follower when only one broker differs.

  • A smaller follower scales down. With equity-ratio sizing, a follower with a quarter of the equity opens a quarter of the size.

More about the MT5 to MT5 Trade Copier

Two MT5 accounts share a platform and still differ in the two ways that matter. The first is naming: EURUSD against EURUSDm or EURUSD.r, USTEC against US100, XAUUSD against GOLD. The second is one MT4 traders never meet — an MT5 account is hedging or netting, decided when the broker created it, so two accounts can be in different modes while the terminal looks identical on both. On a hedging follower each copy is its own position; on a netting one the broker merges same-symbol positions, and Trepeat raises an alert at the moment a copy is about to stack on a symbol that follower already holds. Evaluation and funded accounts usually run on MetaTrader demo servers, which is what Trepeat currently connects; live real-capital accounts aren't supported.

Two MT5 accounts, possibly two modes
MT5 reports its margin mode to any client that asks, so Trepeat reads it from the broker once an account connects and flags a netting or exchange account on the Accounts page. A hedging follower repeats the source position for position, including partial closes. A netting follower diverges from the second copy on a symbol onward, and an exchange-mode account is refused as a follower — at once if its mode is already known, otherwise the moment it first connects — rather than accepted and mis-copied.
The follower broker's own ceiling
Each MT5 symbol carries a per-order maximum as well as a minimum and a step, and the follower's broker is the one that enforces it. When that ceiling actually binds, the copy is placed at the ceiling and you are told the size your sizing rule had asked for — a follower quietly smaller than the source is the failure worth surfacing, so it is surfaced rather than absorbed.
Symbol remapping
Brokers name the same instrument differently — EURUSD on one, EURUSD.r on another, EURUSDm on a third. Set a remap once and every later fill uses it. Point it at all followers, or at ONE named follower when two brokers disagree — which is the case an all-follower rule cannot express, because it can only offer a name every follower carries.
Per-repeater risk config
Each repeater sets one risk profile — multiplier or equity-ratio sizing, max-volume cap and symbol allowlist — applied to all its followers, while a symbol remap can target all followers or one. Equity-ratio sizing auto-scales each follower to its account size, so one source can drive a large funded account and a small demo account from the same strategy.
Built for evaluation + funded accounts
Prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts usually run on demo accounts — MetaTrader demo servers, or a cTrader demo account where the firm issues one — which is exactly what Trepeat currently connects. Run your evaluations and funded accounts side by side, each repeater with its own sizing and symbol rules. A challenge placed on a live account can't be connected either way. We don't share data with prop firms or read their evaluation rules.

What each number means

Any platform to any platform. Mix MT4, MT5 and cTrader followers under one source.

Sized and matched per account. Lots follow each account's equity or your multiplier; broker symbol names are remapped once.

Maximum lot per order. One cap per repeater: no single copy is bigger than you allow.

Alerts that reach you. In-app for every event; email when an account stays disconnected or copies keep failing.

Live P&L and journal. Every account's results in one place, with notes on each setup.

Closes checked. A follower that misses a close while offline raises an alert on reconnect. Flatten closes the source trade and every copy of it. Trades Trepeat isn't copying are never touched.

Fast, always on, out of your way.

The engine runs around the clock in the cloud, so your PC can be off and your phone is all you need.

Real time

Pushed, not polled

Fills reach Trepeat over a live stream from each broker connection, and the order goes to every follower as soon as the fill arrives. Each follower's broker still sets its own execution time.

24/7

Always-on engine

Runs on AWS, not your computer. No VPS to rent, no EA to install.

30 s

Uptime probes

The site and app are checked every 30 seconds from several AWS regions, and the engine is watched by alarms around the clock.

Broker passwords encrypted

Kept in an encrypted vault and never sent to your browser. cTrader connects through its official sign-in, so Trepeat never sees that password at all.

Only copied trades are touched

Flatten closes the source trade and every copy of it. Trades Trepeat isn't copying are never touched.

MT5 to MT5 Trade Copier — common questions

Can I copy trades between two MT5 accounts at different brokers?

Yes. Source and follower can be demo-server accounts at any MetaTrader brokers the bridge can reach, and one source can drive several MT5 followers on the same repeater, each with the repeater's sizing rule applied to its own account. Live real-capital accounts aren't currently supported.

How do I tell whether an MT5 account is hedging or netting?

Open a second position in a symbol you already hold: two tickets means hedging, one ticket whose size grew means netting. MT5 also reports its margin mode to any client that asks, and your broker can tell you since the mode is set when the account is created. Trepeat reads it once the account connects and flags a netting or exchange account on the Accounts page.

Can the follower be much smaller than the source account?

Yes — set the repeater to equity-ratio sizing and each follower scales to its own equity, so a follower with a quarter of the source's equity opens a quarter of the size. Watch the follower symbol's minimum volume when the gap is large: a scaled-down index copy can land under it, in which case it is skipped rather than sent.

What if the two brokers use different symbol suffixes?

Map them once on the repeater — EURUSD to EURUSDm, XAUUSD to XAUUSD.pro, and so on — and every later fill uses the remapping. Trepeat recognises common broker decorations and proposes the follower's name when you create the remapping, and a remapping can target one named follower when only one of your brokers differs.
