How quickly does a trade copier send a scalp to the follower accounts?

Trepeat dispatches each copy as the source fill arrives rather than on a polling timer, and the Trades page shows how long every copy took.

  • Pushed, not polled.A fill goes to the followers as it arrives, so no copy waits for the next timer tick.

  • Fill prices are the broker's.Each follower fills at its own broker's price, so a small difference from the source is normal.

  • Missed closes are flagged. On reconnect, a copy whose source already closed raises an alert so you can close it yourself.

  • Every failed copy has a reason.A copy that fails shows on the Trades page with why, and raises an alert.

What to check in a copier before you scalp with it

Four things decide how a copier handles short holds: how long a copy takes, the price it fills at, how large each order can get, and what the follower account's mode does with a second trade on the same symbol.

Time to copy. Trepeat sends each copy as the source fill arrives, over a live stream rather than on a timer, and every copy on the Trades page shows its own time from the fill reaching Trepeat to the follower broker confirming. The follower broker's execution is usually the largest part of that time, and no copier sets it.

Slippage. Each follower fills at its own broker's price at that moment, so on a fast move its price can differ from the source's. A difference that is consistent, in one direction and about the size of the spread gap between the two brokers is pricing, not lag.

Size per order. Max Volume caps each copied order, and the follower broker's own maximum for the symbol applies after it: with a 1× multiplier and Max Volume at 2 lots, a 3-lot source scalp opens 2.00 lots on the follower. Each follower account also takes up to 50 copied opens a minute; a copy beyond that is marked Failed.

Netting followers. On a netting account a second copy on a symbol the follower already holds merges with the first instead of opening its own position, so scaling in stops matching the source. Trepeat alerts you as that copy is about to land; a hedging follower keeps one position per trade.

Where each part of a copy's time goes, in order, is in trade copier latency: how fast is enough.

More about the Scalping Trade Copier

Fills are pushed over a live stream the moment they happen, not polled on a timer, so a copy never sits waiting for the next poll. The follower broker's own execution comes on top, and on very short holds that is the part to watch. Evaluation and funded accounts usually run on demo accounts — MetaTrader demo servers, or a cTrader demo account where the firm issues one — which is what Trepeat currently connects; a challenge placed on a live account can't be connected either way.

Real-time repetition
Fills arrive over a live stream from the broker connection, not a polling timer, and the order goes to every follower as soon as the fill reaches Trepeat. Opens and closes, full or partial, both repeat. If a follower misses a close while it's offline, Trepeat alerts you on reconnect so you can close that copy yourself. Each follower's broker still sets its own execution time and price.
Reconnect sweep
If the connection to a broker blinks, Trepeat checks the follower's open copies against the source when it reconnects. A copy whose source closed while the follower was offline is not closed in the background: you get an alert so you can close it yourself, so an orphaned scalp is never silent.
Per-repeater risk config
Each repeater sets one risk profile — multiplier or equity-ratio sizing, max-volume cap and symbol allowlist — applied to all its followers, while a symbol remap can target all followers or one. Equity-ratio sizing auto-scales each follower to its account size, so one source can drive a large funded account and a small demo account from the same strategy.
Built for evaluation + funded accounts
Prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts usually run on demo accounts — MetaTrader demo servers, or a cTrader demo account where the firm issues one — which is exactly what Trepeat currently connects. Run your evaluations and funded accounts side by side, each repeater with its own sizing and symbol rules. A challenge placed on a live account can't be connected either way. We don't share data with prop firms or read their evaluation rules.

What each number means

Any platform to any platform. Mix MT4, MT5 and cTrader followers under one source.

Sized and matched per account. Lots follow each account's equity or your multiplier; broker symbol names are remapped once.

Maximum lot per order. One cap per repeater: no single copy is bigger than you allow.

Alerts that reach you. In-app for every event; email when an account stays disconnected or copies keep failing.

Live P&L and journal. Every account's results in one place, with notes on each setup.

Closes checked. A follower that misses a close while offline raises an alert on reconnect. Flatten closes the source trade and every copy of it. Trades Trepeat isn't copying are never touched.

Fast, always on, out of your way.

The engine runs around the clock in the cloud, so your PC can be off and your phone is all you need.

Real time

Pushed, not polled

Fills reach Trepeat over a live stream from each broker connection, and the order goes to every follower as soon as the fill arrives. Each follower's broker still sets its own execution time.

Always-on engine

Runs on AWS, not your computer. No VPS to rent, no EA to install.

30 s

Uptime probes

The site and app are checked every 30 seconds from several AWS regions, and the engine is watched by alarms around the clock.

Broker passwords encrypted

Kept in an encrypted vault and never sent to your browser. cTrader connects through its official sign-in, so Trepeat never sees that password at all.

Only copied trades are touched

Flatten closes the source trade and every copy of it. Trades Trepeat isn't copying are never touched.

Scalping Trade Copier — common questions

Is Trepeat fast enough for scalping?

Repetition is event-driven over a live stream from the broker connection, not polled on a timer, so a source fill dispatches to followers the moment it happens. What Trepeat controls is how fast the order is sent — the final fill price is still set by each follower's broker. Each follower account takes up to 50 copied opens a minute; a copy beyond that is marked Failed.

Will follower fills match the source price exactly?

No — and no honest copier can promise that. Each follower fills at its own broker's available price, so a small difference between source and follower fills is normal, especially on fast moves. Trepeat repeats the order quickly; it can't override a broker's execution.

What if a scalp closes almost the instant it opens?

On very fast round-trips a follower may open and close back-to-back, or a fill may not land at all if the follower broker is momentarily unreachable. A copy that fails is marked Failed on the Trades page, with the reason, and raises an alert; if a copy is left open against a source that has already closed, you get an alert to close it.

Does trade copier latency matter for scalping?

More than for longer holds, because a delay is a bigger share of a short move. Trepeat sends each copy as the source fill arrives and shows every copy's own time on the Trades page; the follower broker's execution is usually the largest part of it, and no copier sets that.

What problems do scalpers run into with a trade copier?

Mostly four: follower fills at a different price on a fast move, a copy that fails while the broker is busy or unreachable, too many opens in a short burst, and a netting follower merging a second trade on the same symbol. Trepeat records a failed copy with its reason and alerts you, takes up to 50 copied opens a minute per follower, and alerts you before a netting merge.

Does a scalping trade copier copy partial closes?

Trepeat does. A partial close on the source closes the same share of each copy, and a partial too small for the follower's minimum closes the whole copy.
