How do I copy trades from one MT4 account to another?
Add both MT4 accounts, make the one you trade the source account and the other a follower account, confirm the symbol names where the two brokers differ, and press Run.
EURUSD, EURUSDm, EURUSD.r.Broker suffixes are recognised and the follower's own name is proposed for you to confirm.
GOLD for XAUUSD.A curated list covers instruments that go by entirely different names at two brokers.
Skipped when too small. With the default Floor rounding, a copy below the follower symbol's minimum is skipped, and the alert names it.
No account mode to think about.MT4 accounts are hedging on both sides, so every copy is its own position.
What differs between two MT4 brokers
A lot is not the same size at every broker. A lot is a number of units of the instrument, and each broker sets that number per symbol: currency pairs usually agree, while metals, energies and index CFDs often do not. If one broker's silver lot were 5,000 ounces and the other's 1,000, copying 1 lot as 1 lot would leave the follower with a fifth of the source's position, or five times it the other way round. Trepeat reads each symbol's contract size from both brokers and converts the lot as part of sizing, so the follower holds the same exposure rather than the same number. If either broker does not report a contract size, nothing is converted; where a conversion was applied, the Trades page shows it on the copy.
Then the name. Two MT4 brokers can list one instrument under names that share no characters, and Trepeat treats each row below as the same instrument. When you set up a repeater it proposes the name the follower's broker uses, taken from that broker's own symbol list, and nothing is renamed until you confirm it. Decorations on the end of a name, such as .raw, .pro, .ecn, .r or a trailing m, are recognised on top of this list.

A worked example of the follower's step and minimum. The source opens 0.37 lots of an index CFD, and the follower's broker steps that symbol in 0.1 lots with a 0.1 minimum. At a 1× multiplier, Floor rounding (the default) places 0.3 lots, while Round and Ceiling place 0.4. If equity-ratio sizing scales it to a quarter, 0.0925 lots, Floor leaves nothing to place, so the copy is skipped and an alert names the symbol and the follower; Round or Ceiling would place the 0.1 minimum instead. Your Max Volume cap applies after rounding, and the broker's own per-order maximum after that.
More about the MT4 to MT4 Trade Copier
Two MT4 accounts run the same platform, so nothing about the order action changes between them. That leaves the broker as the only variable, and it is where these setups actually fail. The same pair is EURUSD at one broker, EURUSDm on a micro account and EURUSD.r on a raw-spread one; gold is XAUUSD at one and plain GOLD at another, sharing no characters at all. Minimum volumes and steps belong to the instrument and the broker too, so a size that is fine on the source can fall below what the follower will accept. Account mode is the one thing you don't have to think about here: MT4 accounts behave as hedging, so the follower repeats the source position for position. Evaluation and funded accounts usually run on MetaTrader demo servers, which is what Trepeat currently connects; live real-capital accounts aren't supported.
- Broker decorations, not platform differences
- Same platform, different suffix conventions: EURUSDm on a micro account, EURUSD.r on a raw-spread one, XAUUSD.pro or XAUUSD.raw at a third. Trepeat recognises these decorations when you create a remapping and proposes the follower's name, and it knows a curated set of instruments that go by genuinely different names — GOLD for XAUUSD, UKOIL for BRENT. It proposes; you confirm.
- Volume steps are per instrument, per broker
- FX majors commonly step in 0.01 lots, which is why this stays invisible on a pair of forex accounts. Index, metal and crypto CFDs frequently step in 0.1, 1.0 or larger, and the two brokers need not agree. Trepeat reads the follower symbol's own minimum and step, snaps the copy to it, and with the default Floor rounding skips a copy that lands below the minimum rather than sending an order the broker would reject.
- Symbol remapping
- Brokers name the same instrument differently — EURUSD on one, EURUSD.r on another, EURUSDm on a third. Set a remap once and every later fill uses it. Point it at all followers, or at ONE named follower when two brokers disagree — which is the case an all-follower rule cannot express, because it can only offer a name every follower carries.
- Per-repeater risk config
- Each repeater sets one risk profile — multiplier or equity-ratio sizing, max-volume cap and symbol allowlist — applied to all its followers, while a symbol remap can target all followers or one. Equity-ratio sizing auto-scales each follower to its account size, so one source can drive a large funded account and a small demo account from the same strategy.
- Built for evaluation + funded accounts
- Prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts usually run on demo accounts — MetaTrader demo servers, or a cTrader demo account where the firm issues one — which is exactly what Trepeat currently connects. Run your evaluations and funded accounts side by side, each repeater with its own sizing and symbol rules. A challenge placed on a live account can't be connected either way. We don't share data with prop firms or read their evaluation rules.

Any platform to any platform. Mix MT4, MT5 and cTrader followers under one source.
Sized and matched per account. Lots follow each account's equity or your multiplier; broker symbol names are remapped once.
Maximum lot per order. One cap per repeater: no single copy is bigger than you allow.
Alerts that reach you. In-app for every event; email when an account stays disconnected or copies keep failing.
Live P&L and journal. Every account's results in one place, with notes on each setup.
Closes checked. A follower that misses a close while offline raises an alert on reconnect. Flatten closes the source trade and every copy of it. Trades Trepeat isn't copying are never touched.

Fast, always on, out of your way.
The engine runs around the clock in the cloud, so your PC can be off and your phone is all you need.
Real time
Pushed, not polled
Fills reach Trepeat over a live stream from each broker connection, and the order goes to every follower as soon as the fill arrives. Each follower's broker still sets its own execution time.

The site and app are checked every 30 seconds from several AWS regions, and the engine is watched by alarms around the clock.
Broker passwords encrypted
Kept in an encrypted vault and never sent to your browser. cTrader connects through its official sign-in, so Trepeat never sees that password at all.

MT4 to MT4 Trade Copier — common questions
Can I copy trades between two MT4 accounts at different brokers?
Yes — that is the ordinary case. Source and follower can be demo-server accounts at any MetaTrader brokers the bridge can reach, and one source can drive several followers at several brokers on the same repeater. Live real-capital accounts aren't currently supported.
My two brokers spell the pair differently — EURUSD and EURUSDm.
That is what symbol remapping is for. Map EURUSD to EURUSDm once on the repeater and every later fill uses it. Trepeat recognises the trailing m as a broker decoration and proposes the remapping when you create it, so you confirm a suggestion rather than typing the whole list out.
Why was a copy skipped as too small?
The follower symbol's minimum volume is what decides, and it belongs to that broker rather than to the source. If your sizing rule produces 0.4 lots on a symbol that steps in 1.0, rounding down leaves nothing to place — so the copy is skipped rather than sent as an order the broker would refuse, and the alert names the symbol and the follower.
Do I need an EA in either terminal?
No. Neither terminal gets an EA, a DLL or a script, and there is no VPS to rent — the repeater runs on AWS around the clock, so the copying continues whether your own machine is on or off.
Do I have to worry about hedging and netting between two MT4 accounts?
No. MT4 accounts behave as hedging, so each copy opens as its own position on the follower and closes with the source position it came from. That question only arises on MT5 and cTrader, where the broker chooses the mode when the account is created.
