Consistency calculator: common questions

What is a consistency rule?

A limit some evaluation and funded accounts set on how much of the total profit may come from one day. A 30% rule means the best day may be at most 30% of the total. Each firm writes its own, so read yours.

Which total should I use?

The one your rule names. Some rules divide by the net of all days, losing days included. Others divide by the winning days only. The switch shows both, and the second gives a lower share when a list has losing days.

What does more total mean?

If your best day is above your number, it is how much more total profit puts the same best day exactly on the number. It is a sum on your figures, not a target to trade towards.

Does this know my firm's rule?

No. You type the number, and it compares two figures. It does not know how your firm counts days, and it does not say whether an account meets a rule.
