Which brokers are supported?

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are available today via real-time WebSocket streams, at any broker or prop firm MetaAPI can reach. The account must be on a demo server — which is what prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts run on. Live real-capital accounts aren't supported for now. cTrader is on the roadmap.

Does it work with prop firm accounts?

That's who it's built for. Run several evaluation and funded accounts side by side — one repeater per strategy, each with its own sizing and symbol rules — both stages run on MetaTrader demo servers, which is what Trepeat supports. Live real-capital accounts aren't supported for now. Trepeat never shares data with prop firms and doesn't read their evaluation rules; check your firm's terms on copy-trading before you connect an account.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 14 days, full access on every plan. A card is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged until it ends — cancel any time before then and you won't be charged.

How fast are trades repeated?

Accepted Answer

In real time. WebSocket fills are detected the moment they happen and dispatched to every follower account simultaneously. On reconnect a sweep closes any copy whose source has already closed, and alerts you when it cannot close one safely. Fills missed while a connection was down are not opened after the fact — the activity log shows them as not repeated, with the reason.

What if I run out of broker account slots?

Every plan has a base quota of broker accounts and a hard cap. Between the two, you buy extra slots yourself at $12/mo each from the Accounts page — nothing is added to your bill automatically. Once you hit your plan's cap, upgrading is a one-click switch and your existing accounts stay connected.

Will Trepeat ever touch my manual trades?

Accepted Answer

No. The engine flags every position it places with an internal magic number. It only ever closes positions carrying that flag — manual trades on the same account stay completely untouched.

Can I control how many contracts are repeated?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Per repeater you set the sizing mode — a fixed multiplier of the source quantity, or equity-ratio (each follower auto-scales by its account equity) — plus a max-volume cap, symbol allowlist, and symbol remapping. These apply to every follower on the repeater; any follower can also be paused independently.

What happens if the connection drops?

WebSocket auto-reconnects on every disconnect. A reconnect sweep runs on a 30-second cycle whenever it finds something outstanding, and backs off to 5-minute checks when there is nothing to fix. It closes a copy whose source has already closed, and alerts you instead when it cannot close one safely. If a follower account stays offline for longer, alerts fire and the follower auto-pauses until reconnected.

Will it create duplicate orders?

No. Every execution carries a unique idempotency key plus a deduplication layer. The same fill can be observed twice (live stream + post-reconnect history replay) without ever creating a duplicate order.

Are my broker credentials secure?

Accepted Answer

Credentials are encrypted in Supabase Vault using authenticated encryption (libsodium AEAD via pgsodium). Encryption keys live separately from the encrypted data and are never exposed through the web interface or any API response.

How does sign-in work? What if I lose access to my email?

Accepted Answer

Sign-in is passwordless — you type your email, we send a one-time magic link. There's no password to forget or leak. If you ever lose access to that mailbox, you can recover the account with any three of the ten single-use recovery codes you saved at sign-up, or with any one code plus a verified backup email. Two-factor authentication via an authenticator app is optional but recommended.

Can I cancel any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancellation stops at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then with no further charges. The 14-day trial is fully cancellable with no charge.
